Commercial Power Plant / On / Off Grid Power Project

Power consumption in commercial establishments is typically very high. Solar rooftop PV systems utilize the free space available on roofs to enhance building energy efficiency, implement renewable energy measures for achieving green building certification, and address power outages.

Solar PV modules can be installed on rooftop spaces to convert sunlight directly into electrical energy. The generated electricity is direct current (DC), which is converted into alternating current (AC) using a Power Conditioning Unit (PCU). The AC power can be consumed immediately in synchronization with the grid or other power sources or stored in batteries for use during power outages or nighttime to support critical loads.

The unavailability of solar radiation during rough weather or nighttime often poses challenges in generating or storing sufficient power to manage outages. An off-grid solar system or stand-alone system can address this issue. These systems bridge the gap between the electrical load and the electricity produced, supplying power as required (DC Load or AC Load) with the support of energy storage devices like batteries.

Off-grid solar systems are ideal for rooftops of small homes, offices, malls, hospitals, and similar establishments. For example, a small solar panel of 1 KW can power a load of approximately 300 watts for four hours with a small battery bank, depending on solar irradiation in the area. Solar panels installed on homes and offices convert solar energy directly into electrical energy, which can either be used immediately to power loads or stored in batteries for later use during power outages.

Residential solar energy systems require minimal maintenance. Regular cleaning of the modules ensures optimal performance.

One of the significant challenges in implementing government policies and development programs in rural areas is the lack of infrastructure. Many regions remain disconnected from the grid. The solution lies in the decentralization of power generation, where off-grid solar energy systems can play a transformative role.

Domestic Power Plant / On-Grid Power Project

The ProMacE Solar grid-tied power plant operates in conjunction with the main EB grid, as the name suggests. This system utilizes battery-free technology, directly supplying the generated solar power to the consumer’s load. Any excess power not consumed during the day is fed back to the main grid through Net Metering technology, which is enabled by TNEB for eligible consumers. The units exported to the grid are subtracted from the consumer’s EB consumption, and the net bill is calculated accordingly.

Features:

  • A 2.5 kW inverter is used for 1.5 kW and 2.5 kW systems, allowing future expansion of solar generation capacity up to 2.5 kW without additional inverter costs.
  • Solar panels come with a 25-year output warranty, while the inverter is covered for 5 years with an option to extend up to 10 years based on an agreement.
  • The total system has a guaranteed lifetime of 25 years.

Grid-Tied System Benefits:
Grid-tied systems allow solar electricity to be routed to a utility grid, enabling:

  • Consumption of solar power when it is available, provided the utility grid is operational.
  • Purchase of electricity from the grid when solar power is unavailable (e.g., nighttime).
  • Sale of excess solar power to the grid, with the exported units subtracted from the total power imported from the grid (net metering).

Additional Features:

  • System ranges from 3 kW to MW capacities.
  • Options include mono/polycrystalline and thin-film solar modules.
  • Incorporates Fronius inverters from Austria, warrantied for up to 20 years.
  • Provides 100% Accelerated Depreciation benefits.
  • Offers Income Tax benefits to consumers.
