Solar Water Pumps

A solar water pump functions as a mini power station, comprising a calibrated and matching solar array of modules designed to meet the specific power requirements of the pump for its application. These systems can power all types of electrical water pumps, catering to needs ranging from irrigation to household water demands. Irrigation pumps, such as submersible, surface, or deep well pumps, can also be paired with drip irrigation systems to maximize efficiency and returns.

The capacity of a solar water pumping system is defined by the total size of the solar array required to operate the connected pump. For instance, a 1000 Wp solar water pump can draw and pump approximately 40,000 liters of water daily from a source up to 10 meters deep, which is sufficient to irrigate around 2 acres of land with regular crops. Compared to a diesel-operated pump, a 1000 Wp solar water pump can save up to ₹45,000 annually.
